By far, the biggest advantage of the diesel engine is the high torque / displacement factor. Compared to a gasoline engine, a diesel engine boosts towing capacity by as much as 50%. However, this advantage is offset by a diesel engine’s inherent lack of retardant power.
Unlike a gasoline engine which assists a vehicle in slowing down, when the accelerator is released on a diesel powered rig, very little deceleration occurs directly as a result of the decreased engine RPM.
So, braking power is achieved solely by brakes, which of course can overheat and that equals trouble in the form of accelerated brake wear and eventually, failure. Pacbrake systems turn your engine into an air compressor, which absorbs energy and the resulting retarding effect slows the engine and vehicle quickly.
When you consider the money you can save, a Pacbrake system just makes sense. Reducing the amount of work the service brakes must do as a result of the Pacbrake, means extended life for your pads, rotors, shoes and drums. These cost savings can amount to the thousands of dollars, dollars which could obviously be put to your better uses.

Dubbed the TriTune Max MicroTuners, these new SUPERCHIPS models allow the end user to custom tailor his desired performance level to the specific driving task at hand. Typically, we adjust the torque converter lockup and firm up the shifts on automatic transmissions. Top that off with Superchips’ exclusive DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code notification), and only Superchips new MAX MicroTuners can read the diagnostic codes, display them and let you see what the problem is.
Installing a SUPERCHIP in your rig directly translates into increased horsepower, torque and top speed. Some of the features a SUPECHIP offers are

4 Levels of power from 30 Hp and 150 lbs ft. to 90 Hp and 250 lbs ft of torque that are set through a routine with the ignition key, accelerator pedal and gear shift lever. Hot Amp/Juice race files are also available for your current model or can be purchased new.
The engine performance is achieved by increasing the duration of the injection and the time it occurs. The power is only available once the engine is up to 80% of the engines operating temperature and is programmed to occur early in the throttle pedal travel.
Transmission monitoring occurs and if clutch slippage is indicated the power is backed down to stock levels and then gradually stepped back in. The power also is backed off when shifting occurs into or when in converter lock. Installation is easy with factory specified plugs.

Air moving in a straight column moves faster than turbulent air witch enhances air flow with greater power gains. All AFE Filters are reusable, to service use K & N filter service kit. Another performance exhaust kit that we carry is the MBRP performance kits. MBRP brings their years of experience and knowledge to the diesel truck exhaust market with these quality performance kits. As mentioned earlier, a performance exhaust kit is a great way to boost performance and economy to your engine while lowering EGT's (exhaust gas temperatures). Large 4" diameter mandrel bent tubing means your engine uses less power expelling the exhaust gases. Heavy gauge stainless steel tubing means you will get years of service from your investment.
The XP Series is made from polished T-409 stainless steel with smooth mandrel bends on all components, OEM style hangers and a seamless polished stainless straight-through high flow muffler. The XP Series offers the greatest added value when you consider all features and benefits enjoyed.. Installation hardware is included. Available in single or "Cool Dual” exhaust configurations. The XP Series includes 5-year warranty.
The MBRP Pro-Series systems are made from high quality polished T-304 Stainless Steel, and are the cadillac of our exhaust systems. Smooth mandrel bends, OEM style hangers, seamless T-304 polished straight-through high flow muffler, large 5" diameter dual wall mirror polished exhaust tip(s) included ensure an exhaust system that outlooks, out-growls, and out-performs the competition! These are complete bolt-on systems for all cabs and configurations with all hardware and tip(s) are included.
